About Joshimath - Jyotrimath is located at a height of 1890 m in the Chamoli district in Uttarakhand state. Joshimath is the gateway to many Himalayan mountains trekking expedition, several pilgrims centers. Joshimath is also known earlier as Jyotirmath.
Tour Itinerary
Day 1 : Arrival at Joshimath à Drive from Dehradun to Joshimath. Drive 9hrs. Welcome drink and Stay in hotel. Altitude 1890 mts
Later You can explore the nearby area of Joshimath. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel in Joshimath.
Day 2 : Joshimath – Auli – Stay - Resort/Hotel. Altitude2850 mts
After breakfast, drive to ropeway point further take the longest Auli ropeway (Gandoliya). Enjoy the life time experience ride of Ropeway. From 8 number tower we walk to chair lift point and further chair lift ride to parking point and walk to near by hotel/resort. Welcome drink and Dinner and overnight stay at hotel in Auli.
Day 3 : Trek to Gurson Bugyal – Stay Resort/Hotel. Altitude 3200 mts
After breakfast, walk to chair lift point take the 800 meter chair ride to 8number tower further take ATV ride or gypsy ride to 10 number tower and start the trek to Gurson Bugyal. Entire trek lead inside the huge dense forest which is around 800 meter distance and enter the flat meadow of Gorson. Gorson Bugyal is a beautiful meadow surrounds with the amazing greenery all around, enjoy the beauty of Gorson and the best view of Mt. Nandadevi Second highest mountain of India and other 10 highest peaks of India. Later trek down to 8numer tower and take chair lift to parking point and back to the hotel/resort, overnight stay in the hotel in Auli.
Day 4 : Departure from Auli. Morning After breakfast take chair lift ride and then cable car from 8numer tower and then drive to Dehradun. Departure from Auli with some unforgettable memories.

Chattra Kund (Lake) Just 2km trek from Artifical lake Auli following up Auli Gorson trek diver trek from Padiyar temple near Gorson top and further trail lead left hand to Chattra kund which is quite mystry trek for first time trekker if you are without guide, whole trek is inside dense forest untill you reach chattra kund a small lake, green clear water can be seen here one can meditate for few hours as you have to return before it get dark.
Artificial Lake Auli This lake was deign in 2009. Llake was developed by the Uttarakhand Government in view of creating artificial snow for first South Asian Winter Games. This artificial lake is cover with water round the year, in winter its freezed with ice. No one is allowed for swimming or doing any activity inside the lak. The best views of Mt. Nandadevi and other peaks are visible from here. There are sitiing places and lighs decorated in round shape at the lake.
